The Comox Valley Accessibility Committee has posted a couple of reminders on their blog about access opportunities at Paradise Meadows in Strathcona Park.
The Wilderness Centre for several years has had wheelchairs & a child stroller available for visitors to borrow. Last summer BC Parks added a Trailrider device to the mobility options. The Trailrider Program this summer will once again be coordinated by Kyle Smith who organized several outings last summer.
This year the area beyond the meadows will become even more accessible, with a project in partnership with BC Parks to improve access at Battleship Lake, 2.6 km from the trailhead at Paradise Meadows. Work will begin this spring.
