Although the weather started foggy for yesterday’s hike to Divers Lake, the clouds eventually lifted and the trip ended in sunshine. We took a vehicle 3 km down the logging road to start, resulting in a hike of 7 km round trip.
A short side trail near the start leads to Rossiter Lake, a good fishing destination.
All the purple flowers of late summer were blooming at Goss Creek which flows out of Divers Lake.
The meadows beyond Divers were full of cottongrass & other bog plants. More photos here.
Note change to the next hike to Divers Lake: now scheduled for Sunday August 25, with Steve & Marlene Smith. This will be a dog-friendly hike. Pregistration is required, contact coordinator(at)strathconapark(dot)org
