Fall colours are appearing in Paradise Meadows & there can be blue skies above the cloud in the Comox Valley. A group of Probus hikers enjoyed the meadows a couple of days ago, after a short presentation about Strathcona Wilderness Institute at the Wilderness Centre.
Battleship Lake was named for several small islands which look like ships in the lake.
The group enjoyed lunch at the day-use area.
Whiskey Jacks of course appeared at lunch time. BC Parks policy is no feeding of any wildlife, so the birds had to be content with watching.
Several beautiful ponds in the meadows are photogenic locations for fall colour & reflections of sky.
