A remarkable event took place this past weekend – a local couple exhanged rings on the Comox Glacier as part of an ambitious wedding ceremony! The couple made the local news – not for the first time, as both are accomplished athletes.
The Comox District Mountaineering Club who went to the Glacier over the weekend had a great encounter with the wedding party, check their trip report here. The couple had actually stopped at the Wilderness Centre at Paradise Meadows a few weeks ago, having run (with backpacks!) from Circlet Lake as part of their training. Congratulations to all involved!
Last year the Centre provided a dry refuge for another wedding party that had been rained out on the boardwalk – they came in to sign their official documents! It was another memorable experience at Paradise Meadows.
