Quite a large group of participants attended a nature talk & walk by expert naturalist Jocie Ingram today in Paradise Meadows. Many comments were received about the excellent outing.

Visitors today came from Ontario, Manitoba, California, Massachusetts, Germany, Holland and of course from all over Vancouver Island. A few items have already collected in the lost & found: hats, sunglasses, hiking poles & a cell phone!

Thunder Clouds over the Mountains

In the late afternoon dark clouds formed to the west & a few peals of thunder rumbled over the mountains, however only the road down from the Centre received a few sprinkles of rain.

A ruby-crowned kinglet was added to the bird sightings list – it could be heard singing from the Centre. On the way up the hill in the morning a black-tailed deer was browsing at the side of the road.
