Snow in the Meadows

Hiker & photographer Tim Penney sent this note on conditions at Paradise Meadows:

“I had a walk around Helen Mackenzie and Battleship Lakes (Wednesday) with a few friends. The day was bright and sunny with the temperature hovering around the zero mark. The trails and boardwalks had been well used since the last snowfall with little depth of snow left. The meadows still had a good covering of about 6 or 7 inches.

There was a skim of ice on Helen Mackenzie Lake in some of the shallow sections whilst Battleship Lake was already completely frozen over.”

Thanks for the beautiful pictures! More of Tim’s photos can be seen here.
