Spring Conditions

The Comox District Mountaineering Club had two excursions recently beyond Paradise Meadows. A day trip went to Moat Lake, and an overnight trip went to Circlet Lake, Moat Lake  & Mt. Albert Edward. Both groups took spectacular photos – more of Tim Penney’s Moat Lake trip can be seen here.

With the warm spring conditions, the snow levels of 290 cm are less than half what they were a year ago – likely an early hiking season this year! Total snowfall for the season was about 1100 cm.
