Tim Penney has sent one more spectacular photo from the CDMC hike to Landslide Lake on July 9. In this photo even the highest point of Mt. Colonel Foster is free of cloud.
By the way, peaks with the word ‘Mount’ as the first word of the name, are named after a person – in this case the mountain was named in 1914 by the Alpine Club of Canada after a long-time member of the ACC, according to GeoBC, which says “ In his capacity as Minister of Public Works, Colonel Foster had been instrumental in securing financing for the 1914 ACC expedition to the recently established Strathcona Park.”
