This includes multiple options for mobility devices and the TrailRider Program.

Accessible trails in Strathcona Provincial Park are divided into two main types; Fully Accessible and TrailRider accessible. See the “Park Maps & Access” page for individual trail details.

Fully Accessible

Fully accessible trails are created for everyone to enjoy. There are no steps or obstacles that must be overcome. The trail consists of packed gravel and boardwalk. Please use caution as the trail may still be uneven or slippery.

TrailRider Accessible

This category of trail includes small metal ramps on any step that must be overcome. The use of a “TrailRider” can be used to navigate the trail with the help of some volunteers. See below for the TrailRider Program.

How to set up the TrailRider

The Strathcona Park TrailRider was established in 2014 to help provide access for everyone to be able to enjoy the beauty of Strathcona Provincial Park together. With a couple volunteers (Sherpas) the TrailRider allows for greater access to Strathcona Provincial Park. Check out the information document to see if it is right fit for you. Please contact strathconawilderness@gmail.com if you would like to reserve a TrailRider or learn more!
